Were you there - we were - at the Nidderdale Show

Hopefully you may have seen us in the Heritage tent at the Show and even talked to us; and if you didn't - why not?

We had many a great conversation with a lot of people, some as far away as Derbyshire and Whitby. Also a few local men who showed interest in what we do, hopefully they will come and visit our Shed and become members.

We even spoke to someone from New Zealand who was in the area researching his family tree! I was explaining that, as I understand it, the Men's Shed movement started in Australia after the Vietnam war to which he said NO it started in New Zealand - what a surprise :).. Despite that he asked if he could take a photo "and send it back to the guys back home, they will never believe me!"
