“We will remember them” - an Armistice display commissioned by the Pateley Bridge Town Council to commemorate the remembrance of those lost in war, was installed on Friday 1st November into the Fox’s Head Well at the top of the High Street.
Designed, built and painted by members of the Nidderdale & Pateley Bridge Men’s Shed the new display echoes the silhouette style of an earlier design seen there over previous years. It now makes a nod to more recent conflicts, with Spitfires from WW II and an illustration of the Royal Marines “Yomping” in the Falklands, beautifully painted by a member of the Wednesday morning art group that meets in Studio 6 at the King Street Workshops.
